Wall Murals by Anna and Varvara Kendel

The twin sisters Anna and Varvara Kendel together create illustrations for children's books. They were born in a small village in the Urals in 1992. They graduated from the Chelyabinsk Art School and the Department of Book Graphics at the St. Petersburg Art and Industry Academy Stieglitz.

They have been creating illustrations and books for children for more than 10 years. The sisters collaborate with various magazines, creating illustrations for articles and covers. They also create illustrations for various works of classical and modern literature.

In 2019, their illustrations for the collection of Silver Age poetry became bestsellers at the international book salon in St. Petersburg and became laureates of the “New Children's Book” competition in the category of best illustrations.

Their personal author’s project “To the North” - a book about a journey to the shore of the Northern Ocean became the winner in the international competition “Image of a Book” for the best illustrations for fiction in 2019. June 12, 2019, on the national holiday day, Russia Day, a screensaver made by Anna and Varvara Kendel was posted on the Google homepage. Currently, the sisters are collaborating with leading Russian publishing houses to create books and covers.
