Gary Luhm is a professional outdoor and nature photographer specializing in sea kayaking. His exploration of the water planet has led to ten trips in ten years to Alaska, and many visits to the Sea of Cortez, British Columbia lakes and coastlines, and especially the ocean and lake environments of his home state, Washington. His kayak is his taxi, his toolbox and even his camera support.

After 45 magazine covers and countless other published images, Gary still regards every trip as a creative challenge.
